What is Boundless life? Everything you need to know about this World schooling program
In a world where remote work and flexible lifestyles are becoming the norm, many families are beginning to rethink what education and travel can look like. That’s where Boundless Life comes in. Designed for families who want to combine meaningful travel with high-quality education, the Boundless program offers a unique opportunity to live, learn, and work from the most amazing destinations around the world.
Rather than limiting learning to a traditional classroom, Boundless Life creates global communities where education is integrated with real-world experiences. Families can relocate for several weeks or months at a time to destinations across Europe, Asia, and South America, while children participate in a hands on, place-based education program and parents continue their remote work routines. Each location provides furnished homes, coworking spaces, and a structured learning environment that emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and the local culture.
The Boundless education model blends academic foundations with experiential learning inspired by progressive systems like the Finnish curriculum and project-based approaches such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia. This means children learn not only through books and lessons, but also through exploring local environments, collaborating on real-world projects, and engaging with different cultures.
For families seeking a balance between adventure, community, and education, the Boundless program offers a new way to experience the world. One where travel becomes part of everyday life and the world itself becomes the classroom.

💵 Cost
The Boundless Life program uses a flexible, all-in-one pricing model designed for families who want to live, work, and educate their children while traveling. Costs typically include three core components—children’s tuition, community access, and optional housing—bundled together, with prices varying by location, season, and demand. Families also pay a one-time enrollment fee of about €400 per child, while monthly packages generally start around €1,500–€3,800 depending on destination and timing. The tuition covers weekday education, meals, and field trips, while community access includes coworking spaces, events and even airport transfers. Housing, such as fully furnished apartments, can be added for convenience and often unlocks bundle discounts, along with additional savings for booking multiple cohorts or enrolling multiple children.
👉🏻 You can find all of the information on pricing and the pricing calculator here: Cohort Pricing
For example: If you were looking to do the Winter 2027 cohort in Greece, with housing included, pricing would start at $4900 for 2 adults + 2 children in a 2 bedroom.
📚 Education
The education model behind the Boundless Life program is designed to rethink traditional schooling by blending academic learning with real-world experiences and global exploration. Through Boundless Education, learning extends beyond a typical classroom and becomes integrated with the environment, culture, and community of each destination where families live. The program draws inspiration from progressive systems—particularly Finnish education system—while incorporating elements of Montessori education method and Project‑based learning. This approach places students at the center of the learning process, encouraging curiosity, independence, and creativity. Instead of focusing heavily on lectures and memorization, students engage in meaningful experiences that help them apply academic concepts to real-world situations.
A typical day mixes structure and flexibility. Students have Mastery Time to build core skills at their own pace with teacher support and personalized tools. During Quest Time, they work in teams on interdisciplinary projects that spark critical thinking and creative problem-solving tied to real-world themes. This blend of independent study and teamwork builds confidence and collaboration skills.
The program emphasizes cultural immersion, outdoor learning, and following students’ interests. As families move internationally, students live in different cultures, learn new languages, and adapt to new environments. This global exposure builds adaptability and a wider view of the world. Nature activities, creative projects, and time for personal interests are built into the schedule to support whole-child development. The aim is to teach strong academics while also growing life skills—teamwork, communication, resilience, and the local culture.

🏡 Housing
Boundless provides housing for you! Which is one of the biggest concerns for people when moving or traveling in general. Boundless is designed to make living abroad easy and comfortable for families. Through Boundless Homes, families stay in fully furnished apartments located near the program’s education centers and coworking hubs, allowing parents to work while children attend school nearby. The homes typically come in 1,2, or 3 bedroom layouts and include essentials such as high-speed internet, fully equipped kitchens, linens, laundry facilities, and regular cleaning. Utilities are generally included, and many homes are equipped with family-friendly features like baby equipment and child amenities.
They even include weekly housecleaning!
The goal is to provide a turnkey living experience so families can arrive, settle in quickly, and focus on enjoying the community, travel, and learning opportunities in each destination.
👉🏻 If you want to find your own housing, they will refer you to vetted Local Host homes, not managed by Boundless Life. Details and options available at the time of booking.
🌲 Community
The Boundless Life community is a central part of the experience, bringing together like-minded families who are living, learning, and traveling abroad at the same time. Rather than arriving in a new country and starting from scratch socially, families join an existing network of parents and children who share similar values around education, exploration, and remote work. The program helps create these connections through pre-arrival introductions, community platforms, and regular in-person events once families arrive. Activities such as family outings, cultural excursions, yoga sessions, hikes, and social gatherings make it easy for parents and children to build friendships and feel supported in a new environment.
Each location also has a local team that organizes events and helps introduce families to one another, encouraging a close-knit atmosphere where connections form quickly. Over time, these shared experiences—like group dinners, children’s playdates, and weekend adventures—help create a strong sense of belonging and collaboration among participants. The goal of the Boundless community is to ensure families not only travel and learn together but also form meaningful relationships that often last long after the program ends.

💻 Work
The coworking spaces in the Boundless Life program are designed to give parents a productive place to work while their children attend the program’s education centers. Known as the Boundless Coworking Hub, these shared workspaces provide a professional environment where remote workers, freelancers, and entrepreneurs can focus on their jobs while also connecting with other professionals in the community. The hubs include dedicated work areas, meeting pods or private booths for calls, high-speed internet, and comfortable lounge and break spaces. Many locations also feature kitchens or dining areas along with complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks to support a comfortable workday.
Parents have 24/7 access to the coworking hub, allowing them to work across different time zones or schedules. Access to the hub is included as part of the Boundless program fee, meaning families can use the space as much as they want throughout their stay while collaborating, networking, and sharing ideas with other members of the community.
Cohort VS Summer Camps
At Boundless Life, families can participate in either cohorts or camps, depending on how long they want to stay and the type of experience they’re looking for. Cohorts are the core program and typically last about three months, giving families the opportunity to fully settle into a destination while children participate in the structured Boundless Educationcurriculum and parents work from the community coworking hubs. Camps, on the other hand, are shorter experiences—usually around four weeks during the summer—and focus more on fun, cultural exploration, and group activities for kids rather than a full academic program. They have a curriculum structure and a week long break usually in the middle.

FAQ about Boundless
Q: Is it permanent?
A: No. So, boundless offers 3 month cohorts and 3 & 4 week long camps (in the summer and winter). There are some families who go from cohort to cohort and make it a more permanent experience. We have even talked to a few families who made friends with other families and they choose their destinations for their kids to be together.
Q: Do you need a visa to be in Italy for that long?
A: This is one of the most asked questions we have got! You do not need a visa to be there for 90 days or under. This is the case for most European countries. If you don’t know about the Schengen zone. There is a thing called the 90/180 Day Rule: Non-EU nationals can spend a total of 90 days in the Schengen area within any 180-day period. The 180-day period is a rolling window, not a calendar year. To clarify, if you are in one of these countries for 90 days or a mix of them for 90 days, you cannot go to any of the others in the 180 day period. There are 29 countries this applies to including: Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Greece and many others. To read more about the rules or find out more about the Schengen Zone.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: This depends on a few factors. Location, the number of people in your family and the type of housing you choose. You can use the Pricing Calculator to get an estimate. The Boundless site has a lot of resources and information. It even breaks down the cost for you. The Tuscany cohort in Spring 2026, starts at €5,400/month (& that’s in euros). Each location has different pricing - if you did the Fall 2026 cohort (Sept-November) in Greece.. it would start at €2,600/month. Boundless Cohort Pricing.
Q: What locations do they have?
A: Boundless has 8 locations and more coming by the end of 2026. We are going to be in Italy (Tuscany) but they also have locations in Portugal, Indonesia (Bali), Greece, Montenegro, Spain, Uruguay, & Japan.
Q: How does the schedule work? What about weekends or is there free time?
A: Your weekends are free to do what you would like. The program actually encourages you to take day or night trips to nearby destinations like Rome, Florence or any other cities you want to visit!
Q: Do you arrange your own housing?
A: Boundless does have housing arrangements for you! They offer 1,2 and 3 bedroom units in each community that they set up and fully furnish. They specifically pick these housing units in certain area so you are within a community of the other people in the cohort. You are also able to walk to the coworking space, community center and the kids school.
They also will refer you to vetted Local Host homes, not managed by Boundless Life. Details and options available at the time of booking.
Q: What ages is the education programs offered for?
A: They offer programs for ages 1-14. The children are separated into groups by ages depending on the cohort you are in but they generally are like this:
1-3
4-5
6-7
8-9
10-12
Q: What is the school schedule like?
A: each location offers 3 - 3 month cohorts which fulfills the schooling. Then they offer 2 different periods of summer and winter camps. This is more along the lines of the European and UK school models. For example for the Italy cohort:
Other questions we got asked about doing the program:
Q: Do you keep your current house in the U.S.?
A: We are keeping our current home in PA. I have talked to some other families and they are renting their homes out for the length of the program. In think it just depends on what your current situation is and what works best for you!
Q: Given the education is in English, how do the kids learn Italian?
A: The school specifically does not teach the local language but being in another country they make sure to engage and emerge you in the local culture. For our family specifically we wanted to learn some Italian phrases and we downloaded Duolingo - a free app to teach you a language. My kids LOVE it and ask me every morning when we can do it together. I think this is a great way to preemptively prepare for another culture, even if you are only traveling there for a few weeks it’s great to know a few key phrases and words!
Q: How are you able to work in another country?
A: Obviously, this could be for anyone who has a remote job or owns their own company. The main thing would be talk to your place of employment and make sure to clear it with them. Most people we have talked to who have done the program just needed a VPN for the location or country they will be working from. I personally work for a tech company doing marketing and so I work fully remote.
