Lake Lugano, on the border of Italy and Switzerland
2025 was a whirlwind of a year! We lived in London for 3 months, spent a whole month exploring Italy and Switzerland, & had some of the best experiences of our lives.
In this blog, we’re rounding up our top Instagram posts of 2025, featuring which content performed best, received the most engagement, and resonated most with our audience. From bucket-list destinations to unforgettable experiences, these posts highlight the trips and stories that defined our year.
1. You can always make more money…but you can never make more time.
A big reason we created this page was to help families travel more…now, while the kids are still young.
There are 1 million reasons to put off taking the trip when you have young kids
You always think “we’ll do that trip later, when the kids are older, or we have more money, or we have more time”
But as I learned from firsthand experience, there is no guarantee that tomorrow your whole family will be here to take that trip together.
So that’s why were here. To help families find the best ways to prioritize traveling together… Right now.
2. You can easily convert any currency in the calculator app
Open your calculator app and go to the bottom left corner where to switch it to “convert”.
3. Would you pay your kids for good behavior on a trip?
Some people find this to be controversial, but the first time I heard about it, I thought it was genius!
Here’s how it works:
💵 Decide ahead of time on a budget ($5-10 per day is what we typically do, depending on age and length of trip.
💵 Set expectations with your kids. “Guess what! Mommy is going to give you a good traveler budget… Which means every day you meet expectations for how we expect you to behave when traveling, at restaurants, etc…you will earn money that you can use however you like on the trip!
💵 Make sure they know what those expectations are for their behavior, and make sure that they are realistic for their age!
4. The Spider Web at Glacier Canyon Grindelwald
Would you take your kids to do this?! I was a bit spooked… but my kids (3, 7, and 10) LOVED IT!
🏔️You’ll find it in Grindelwald, high in the Jumgfrau region of the swiss alps.
We visited it recently as part of a 10 day trip to Switzerland- and our whole family loved it!
