The Best Playgrounds & Hikes with Kids in the Swiss Alps

Ever since we visited Switzerland for the first time it has been our entire families FAVORITE destination! With the playgrounds being one of the highlights. Some of the best alpine playgrounds are high up in the Jungfrau region. Männlichen, where the cow-themed playground, sweeping 360° views, and easy hiking trails kept our whole crew entertained, and Allmendhubel’s Flower Park, a dreamy wood playground with a flower trail and beautiful mountain scenery that made it feel like you are in another world. We have since been back multiple time and each time it is truly magical. If you’re traveling with little ones, these playgrounds are worth the trip. And the best part is, no matter your age or endurance you don’t have to do a crazy hike to get there - they are reachable by cable cars or funiculars.

One of our favorite activities we have ever booked is HANDS DOWN THIS COOKING CLASS! It is a family-run cooking class that felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home than attending a lesson. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with pastries, coffee, and the warmest hospitality, and before long my kids were rolling pasta dough, shaping ravioli, and laughing in the yard while our hosts treated us like old friends.

What I loved most was how effortless and kid-friendly it all felt. Even with little ones running around, we got to slow down, savor real Italian cooking, and then sit together to enjoy one of the best meals of our entire trip — complete with homemade tiramisu and wine. If you’ve ever dreamed of experiencing Italy in the most authentic, heart-melting way, this blog will make you want to book your trip to Lake Como immediately,
